Homelab Overview

Here's a short overview on how my homelab is set up. 

Hosting

I have 3 older Dell Lattitudes, which I removed the batteries on. Each has Proxmox installed as the tier 1 hypervisor, and have been put into a cluster so that they can be managed via a single web interface. I have a Dell Optiplex Micro desktop set up with Windows Server 2022 Datacenter Edition running on the bare metal, for use as a Plex server. I didn't want to virtualize the Plex server for performance reasons, and I chose one an Optiplex Micro due to its small form factor and low electricity usage. The form factor and electricity consumption are also the same reasons why I chose to cluster those laptops as well.

Network

Working at AFR, I became very fond of Unifi's product selection as well as their cloud management interface. I have 2 U6 Mesh access points, and a Lite 16 PoE switch from them. I also use miscellaneous unmanaged LinkSys switches when needed.
